The Story Behind the Bottle
For a taste of Italy’s finest, head to Friuli in NE Italy and Silvio Jermann’s renowned estate. His ancestors came from Austria and Slovenia, then his great grandfather moved in 1881 to Villanova in Italy, on the Austrian border. Silvio Jermann took over the estate in the 1970s, converting his viticulture to organic practices and always aiming for the very highest quality. He's been praised as an innovator and a visionary and his wines are enjoyed worldwide. Vinnae is a superb, characterful white made purely from Ribolla Gialla, created first in 1983 to celebrate the birth of his second son. With creamy, ripe peach fruit and delicious citrus freshness, the wine makes an ideal glass solo and is perfect with seafood and creamy chicken dishes.
