Margan Hunter Valley Semillon 2025

Hunter Valley Semillon is the iconic white of Australia and this is one of the finest of them all. It’s from Andrew Margan, who managed the Hunter’s oldest estate, Tyrrell’s, for 25 years before starting his own.
Since 1997 Andrew and his wife Lisa have run their own cellar, building up 100 hectares of vineyards in Broke Fordwich. In that short time they have built up an immense reputation – “outstanding winery” wrote critic James Halliday, giving his highest 5 red star rating which they have consistently held now since 2009. “The giant killer of the Sydney Show” concluded the Sydney Herald – and their wines regularly receive 95+ points.
Grapes for Margan Semillon are from 50 year old vines, cool fermented and vinified without oak as is the norm for the Hunter Valley. Enjoy now or cellar for a few years – this iconic white is spot on with richer chicken or fish dishes.
