Vinho Verde, meaning ‘green wine’, is a region in northern Portugal, known for its super-refreshing, lower-alcohol whites. We’ve long been champions of the great wines from Jaime Quendera, as he weaves his magic in various cellars across Portugal. Here he’s worked with the team at the renowned Pegões cellar, listed as the best co-operative in Portugal a few years back. This elegant white is a blend of two native Portuguese grapes, some of the finest of Vinho Verde – aromatic Loureiro adds lemony freshness, while Trajadura brings roundness and stone fruits. With Vinho Verde’s signature gentle spritz, it's a white that tingles on your tongue with a zesty zing. A top wine for a summery lunch, an aperitif, or paired with sushi or spiced dhal.
