Matallana is the flagship red of Telmo Rodríguez in Ribera del Duero, a wine created to express the region’s forgotten historic vineyards. The 2022 vintage comes from very old, high-altitude plots around Valbuena de Duero, planted with a field blend dominated by Tempranillo, alongside Garnacha, Albillo and other local varieties.
Fermented with native yeasts and matured in fine oak, it delivers depth without heaviness. Expect dark berry fruit, plum and spice layered with herbal, earthy and mineral notes, framed by firm but refined tannins and fresh acidity.
