The Story Behind the Bottle
‘Only show my shoes!’ shouted Corlea. This is what the talented, but rather shy winemaker at Bosman Vineyards remarked when we asked her to feature on the label of this new release. And the name stuck. Showcasing South Africa’s star grape, Chenin Blanc, Corlea crafted a zesty fresh white, using grapes from the sun-blessed slopes of Groneberg mountain. The high altitude there helps to cool the bunches at night, slowing the ripening process and locking in an abundance of aroma and freshness. Brimful of green apple, lemon and honeyed fruits, this white makes perfect refreshment. An anytime wine that’ll win over even the most finnicky of crowds. From seafood pasta to salad niçoise, it’s food friendly but also great riding solo.
