The Beer
Pillars Brewery Icebock is the ultimate expression of lager craftsmanship from London’s first dedicated craft lager brewery. Inspired by Bavaria’s traditional Eisbock style, this powerful beer is made by partially freezing a strong lager to concentrate its flavours. The result is a dark amber brew with aromas of caramel, dried fruit and roasted nuts. The palate is full-bodied and warming, with layers of malt sweetness, fig, raisin and toffee, balanced by a smooth, lingering finish. Brewed in small batches and released only occasionally, Icebock showcases Pillars’ flair for extraordinary lager. A contemplative beer to sip slowly, more akin to a fine spirit than a session pint – all from one of the liveliest craft brewing hotspots in the UK.
