To make Purple Owl Chardonnay we worked with a small family winery run by father-and-son team Gus and Frank Kapiniaris. They grow and harvest their own grapes – and the love they have for their vines shines through in the wine.
Their winemaker, Frank Lambert, has worked at some of California’s top estates, crafting those famous £100-a-bottle wines. He’s captured that same luxurious, subtly oaked style in Purple Owl, for a fraction of the price.
It’s a creamy, rounded white wine, brimming with ripe pear, golden apple, peach and tropical fruit, with hints of vanilla and baking spice. Enjoy chilled, with buttery lobster, creamy mushroom risotto or herby roast chicken.
