The Wine
From a family long established in Chablis, Samuel Billaud started his winemaking career in 1985 at the renowned Domaine Billaud-Simon. He decided in 2009 to set up on his own and has today carved out a reputation as a leading figure in Chablis. This luscious white Burgundy is crafted from grapes grown close to Chablis and some from a vineyard in the Mâconnais. Together they combine the steeliness of the former with the more rounded fruit of the latter, while lees ageing lends extra richness and breadth.
