Toro lies in the Duero river valley in north-western Spain, between the celebrated wine regions of Ribera del Duero and Portugal’s Douro. Like its famous neighbours, it produces immensely rich, concentrated red wines with excellent potential for ageing.
Made from 100% Tinta de Toro – a local variant of Tempranillo with thicker skins that give extra intensity – Selección Especial Numerada 70 Reserva packs a serious punch. Every drop is dense, dark and brimming with black fruit, thanks to ancient, low-yielding vines. After 36 months in barrel, it’s silky and elegant too, with a savoury richness that lingers long after the last sip.
