The Story Behind the Bottle
Split Rock has been one of our bestselling Kiwi Sauvignons for over two decades. It comes from the oldest winery on New Zealand’s famous South Island, founded in 1973 by Austrian traveller Hermann Seifried and his wife, Agnes. Their love and shared dream led them to plant their first vines in sunny Nelson, now home to their award-winning estate. Today, their three children, Chris, Heidi and Anna are at the helm. The wine is named after Hermann’s favourite picnic spot, scenic Split Apple Rock in nearby Able Tasman National Park. This vibrant Sauvignon brims with tropical fruit, citrus and that signature gooseberry freshness. Ideal for solo sipping – or a superb match for chicken, pork, seafood and salads. Mouthwatering and very moreish.
