Brilliantly fresh and creamy, Treasures Chardonnay is made by talented winemaker Johnny Quarisa.
For many years, Johnny made terrific, award-winning wines for some of the biggest names in Australian wine. He dreamed of going out on his own and finally his wife Josephine told him to quit dreaming and start doing.
He now makes great wines at his family winery in New South Wales and, despite its fledgling status, the winery boasts four stars from Aussie wine guru James Halliday. He is helped by his wife Josephine and occasionally his three children, their three 'Treasures'! They are the inspiration for this Chardonnay, symbolising life where anything is conquerable and passion is everything.
Treasures is made using grapes purely from the Adelaide Hills – a region renowned for crisp, cool-climate white wines. A year's ageing on lees, with a small amount of oak, lends creamy roundness to the wine's tangy citrus bite. Very refreshing on its own and great with seafood.
