The Story Behind the Bottle
Chile has earned a 5-star reputation for crafting supple Bordeaux-style reds and fresh Sauvignon Blanc. Our latest find is from a winery founded in 1966 by Pablo Morande, a pioneer of climate-cool Casablanca vineyards and the renowned Empresas Lourdes winery. After investments in 2000, they built an underground, gravity-fed cellar, complete with concrete eggs, ceramic tanks and the ability to make experimental batches from unique grape varieties. It’s no wonder Pablo won ‘Winemaking Legend’ in 2022. The grapes for this wine are selected from coastal-cool vineyards of the Aconcagua Valley, which brings out the bright citrus and herbaceous fruit notes of this grape. Serve well-chilled on its own, with lighter vegetarian dishes or seafood.
