The Story Behind the Bottle
The Yarrunga Field wines are once again being made by Sam Trimboli, the original winemaker who first crafted these beauties over 20 years ago. And it’s still every bit the “Aussie sunshine in a glass" (wine critic Oz Clarke) as it was at launch. This latest vintage recently took Gold and 95 points at the Australian Inland Wine Show – no surprise given Sam’s award-winning track record. For this Reserve, he sourced grapes from premium vineyards owned by many of Australia’s leading independent growers – and it shows. Rich and seductively smooth, it sings with luscious black fruits (think plum and blackberry) and unfurls layers of smoky spice. Enjoy solo, with farmhouse cheese, or alongside a rare T-bone steak or hearty casserole.
