This Troisième Grand Cru Classé is one of the most beloved estates of the prestigious Saint-Estèphe appellation on Bordeaux's Left Bank. There is evidence it existed in 1147. Led today by the talented Vincent Millet and highly regarded oenologist Eric Boissenot, Château Calon Ségur has established itself as a truly great estate. Cabernet Sauvignon led, with decreasing portions of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the superb 2022 is a classic Médoc-style blend. Aged in 40% new French oak barrels for 18 months, it really does allow the magic of the estate to shine. On the aroma there are beautiful notes of plum, cassis, earth, cedar, and herbs. While the palate boasts an elegance and intensity with fine-grained tannins and length.

"A very juicy red with redcurrant and creme de cassis as well as hints of nutmeg and cloves" James Suckling
