One of the finest performances of 2022 and our 'money-no-object' pick of the vintage, this is Mouton Rothschild at its best. A high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon lends tremendous power, length and depth. “In a word: magnificent.” (Vinous.com)

There's enormous praise from critics worldwide for the 2022 from this iconic Pauillac property. Comparisons have even been made by James Lawther MW and Antonio Galloni to Mouton’s great 1986 vintage, considered one of their finest ever releases. It’s one of the highest Cabernet Sauvignon blends in years (92%). To match that majesty, only new oak barrels were used to age the wine, adding to the power, depth and layers of remarkable complexity. Georgine Hindle at Decanter called it, “technically very brilliant but it’s the texture that wows, generous, fruity, sleek, supple, it gives stone and graphite touches putting the terroir in the glass and overall this just screams elegance and finesse and above all drinkability”. Definitely a keeper.

"Palate truly amazing – suave, sensual but packed with polished tannin. A modern 1986?" James Lawther MW, 19pts
