Ranked as the only Fourth Growth Cru Classé in Pauillac in the 1855 Classification, Château Duhart-Milon was later acquired by Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite in 1962. Its neighbouring property is First Growth Château Lafite Rothschild. Being so close, the two châteaux share the same vineyard management and winemaking teams. Duhart-Milon is known for its elegance combined with Pauillac’s signature power and the 2022 is spot on. “Richness as well as classic Pauillac character in its lead pencil, graphite, tobacco, and red and black fruit-driven aromatics” says Jeb Dunnuck, while James Suckling sums it up as “very Pauillac”. 78% Cabernet Sauvignon with the rest Merlot, aged in 40% new oak. A bottle to lay down for future enjoyment.
