Bordeaux 2019 was yet another exceptional vintage, with "beautifully expressive wines, ranging truly from ripe, opulent and hedonistic to delicate, elegant and aerial." With a hot summer and autumn, Château Marsau successfully produced their second year of organically grown grapes. Quality and ripeness at harvest time was excellent. Château Marsau lies in Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, a region that offers superb quality at a fraction of the price of Pomerol and St-Émilion. The 2019 release was so good, it "takes the appellation to a new level" (James Suckling). Made from pure Merlot, it shows ripe cherry and cassis with complex layers of roasted coffee, spice, and fine tannins. A wonderful expression of Bordeaux’s most grown grape. Decant.
