Blue Pyrenees Estate was established in 1963 by the world renowned Remy Martin, and was among the modern Australian wine industry’s first ventures into cool climate viticulture. Today, Blue Pyrenees is 100 percent Australian owned and is led by Chief Winemaker Andrew Koerner.
The 2014 vintage won gold at the China Wine and Spirit Awards and the Sydney Royal Wine Show 2017
Created from parcels of low-yielding vines, it’s intensely concentrated with dense, dark fruit flavours
Maturation for 18 months in a combination of new and up to eight-year-old French and American oak barrels has added softness, texture and another dimension of flavour
Tasting note: Bright, ruby red in the glass, this Shiraz has all the classic aromas you’d expect - liquorice, blueberry, cedar and vanilla. The blueberry gives way to liquorice and spices, drifting into a mid-palate of chocolate and vanilla with a long, complex finish.
