Château Beau Site 2022
Château Beau-Site takes its name from the superb location it enjoys overlooking the Gironde, on one of the highest points of the Médoc. It was bought by the Castéja family in 1955, who also own the prestigious Châteaux Batailley and Trotte Vieille.

The Story Behind the Bottle
Château Beau-Site dates back to the 18th century and has a long-held reputation for its fine Saint-Estèphe. Interestingly, its owners never submitted samples for the 1855 Bordeaux classification, so it was overlooked for Cru Classé status. Instead, it's a Cru Bourgeois and priced accordingly, but it's made – and tastes – like a Grand Cru Classé. It’s also located just next door to 3ème Cru Classé Calon Ségur. The 2022 vintage combines cassis, black cherry and plum with hints of cedar and tobacco. The tannins are firm but finely textured, promising excellent ageing potential. Aged in oak for added complexity, it’s a wine that balances power with finesse. Perfect with roast lamb, hard cheeses or simply savoured slowly.
