Bollinger needs little introduction. Its name has been synonymous with top quality Champagne since 1829 and it is one of the last remaining family-owned houses.
The majority of vineyards Bollinger uses for its Special Cuvée are of either Premier or Grand Cru status – some of the best vineyards in Champagne. This results in Bollinger’s famous rich, full-bodied style
Bollinger is renowned for using a high percentage of reserve wines (around 10%) in this signature cuvée. Reserve wines are wines from older vintages – between 5 to 15 years old– which are used by Bollinger to give this its richness, depth and complexity
Bollinger is one of the world’s best-known Champagnes. The favoured choice of James Bond, England Rugby, The Boat Race and Ascot – enjoy a bottle of Bollinger and you’ll be in good company
Tasting note:No other non-vintage cuvee can match Bollinger’s combination of power and finesse. On the nose it’s rich and biscuity with hints of apple compote and peaches. Pear, brioche and notes of fresh walnut combine on the palate with a luscious, full mousse and long-lasting finish.
