Founded in 1849, Pol Roger is regarded as one of the finest of all the Champagne houses. It is known for the great style and finesse of its wines, particularly for the Vintage Brut and the Cuvée Winston Churchill. The man himself was a great ambassador for the brand, being one of their most loyal customers, and even naming his favourite racehorse after Odette Pol-Roger, the wife of Jacques Pol-Roger, head of the firm at that time. The Brut Réserve follows the traditional Pol Roger formula of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, selected from up to 20 Grands and Premiers Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, the Grand Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. Enjoy at any special celebration, served by itself, with canapés or with lobster.
