The Story Behind the Bottle
The wines of Beaujolais are enjoying a well deserved revival. The region is teeming with energy and has attracted an army of talented younger winemakers keen to explore its beautifully diverse potential. The result: reds full to the brim with character and style. Like this silky, pure fruit 2017 made at the Cave du Perréon – a well established cellar in 18th century buildings constructed by the eponymous Baron de la Vauxonne. It belongs to the Vignerons du Beaujolais, and uses grapes from 150 small-time growers across the region. Made from Gamay grown on the region’s classic granite soils, there's a distinct finesse to this wine’s perfumed fruit. It's silky and juicy, with ripe cherry flavour and floral notes. Serve cool and enjoy.
