For a taste of classic Australian Shiraz, we headed to Andrew McPherson’s winery in central Victoria. One of Australia’s wine pioneers, Andrew helped build up wineries across the nation before setting up his own estate. Three Vineyards comes from the estate’s three best producing vineyards and is partially aged in oak. The result is a full-bodied red which combines the rich, dark plum and blackberry flavours of Shiraz with hints of spice and toast. Just as delicious with simple pasta suppers as it is with fillet steak.
