Laurent Delaunay began his career in Burgundy, but these days he makes wine in France's Languedoc, sourcing parcels of top-quality grapes from old, low-yielding, out-of-the-way vineyards. With Grenache from Minervois, Syrah from Beziers, and Mourvèdre from La Clape and Corbières, Pontificis combines the best of the Languedoc with a classic Rhône blend. It offers the perfect balance of richness and complexity (at a great price), so it’s easy to see why it’s become a customer favourite and one of the top wines in our range. Full of rich, warming aromas of spices and kirsch, this is smooth and mouthfilling.
