Vibrant new vintage of this much loved, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, but this edition has a slight tinge of pink. It also has a few extra layers of ripe pear and berry fruit. It is, of course, from the same award winning cellar that was founded by the Rose family in 1978. Chris and Phil Rose were pioneers of the region and today, their five children have joined them, so it's very much a family affair. It has all the usual Marlborough pizzazz – exuberant grapefruit and grassy nettle character with a bright citrus zip, plus ripe pear, fig and raspberry notes from a touch of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It’s delicious on its own and is also spot on with panfried salmon, and other lighter summery dishes or spicy stir-fry.
