German Pinot Noir has seen a dramatic rise in popularity in recent years thanks to wines like this one. It comes from the Pfalz region, just north of Alsace, one of Germany’s driest and sunniest regions where the finicky Pinot Noir grape is able to fully ripen. Aged in French oak barriques, it reveals juicy, fresh, dark cherry and raspberry fruit with savoury and cedar nuances. With a lovely silky texture and a smoky depth, this is a serious Pinot Noir. Ruby red and juicy with light red berry fruits and a savoury, mineral edge. A smooth, elegant Pinot with silky tannins.
