Germany has always produced some of the world’s finest Rieslings. In the last decade or so, with the help of slightly warmer temperatures, German winemakers have perfected a dry style of wines too. As this fine white proves, they can be gloriously zingy with brilliant, ripe apple, peach and lemon fruit, undercut by intense mineral poise. Delicious as an aperitif or as a partner to food. This classic dry Riesling from historic Rheinhessen was made by Manuel Brixius at the award winning Niersteiner Weingenossenschaft, founded in 1930. It's from the outstanding 2020 vintage, which produced elegant, crisp and powerfully aromatic Rieslings. So pour a generous glass, breathe in the vibrant apple and lime fruit and real mineral finesse, and sip.
