The Story Behind the Bottle
When Tony Laithwaite first visited Australia there were lots of smaller, family-run wineries. Most have been swallowed up by the big wine corporations. But Angove Family Winemakers – founded in 1886 and now run by siblings Richard and Victoria Angove – remains proudly independent. We’re drawn to producers who share our strong sense of family – their wines just seem to have more personality and flavour. Like this bold, pure Shiraz. It’s lusciously fruity with spicy oak notes and enough weight to partner all kinds of chargrilled food. Angove recently earned a top 5-Red-Star rating from Oz critic James Halliday – reward for consistent high quality, which is yours to enjoy right here.
