Late Bottled Vintage ports are similar in style, but they’re matured in cask for longer, meaning their rich and warming dark chocolate and plum flavours can be enjoyed right away. This LBV has been exclusively picked for Averys by one of the top names in the Douro – David Guimaraens. He’s the sixth generation of his family in the business and boasts considerable international experience. He honed his crafted in Australia and the States, before returning to the Douro where he became head of winemaking at Taylor’s. This LBV has layers of rich flavour. Savour slowly on its own or with Stilton or, the Portuguese way, with rich chocolate torte.
