Flavour Profile
Moët et Chandon Grand Vintage is an iconic Champagne, perfect for special occasions. It’s from one of the best-known Champagne houses, established in 1743.
This 2016 is showing maturity, complexity and length and will cellar well for many years yet. Chardonnay excelled in 2016 and is a major part of this blend, supported by Pinot Noir and Meunier. Low yields resulted in even more intensity.
Hugh Johnson writes that Moët’s vintage wines are “always a good representative of the character of each vintage, yet with that supple, creamy style that runs through the whole Moët range”. Aged long in the cellar on its lees and at least six months after disgorgement, this Champagne will continue to mature.
