The Wine
Champagne house Heidsieck & Co was founded in 1785 by Florens Louis Heidsieck. In 1828 nephew Christian Heidsieck joined forces with Henri Guillaume Piper, and Piper-Heidsieck came into being. Since then, Piper-Heidsieck has become one of Champagne's most popular houses – especially with the film industry. It was known to be one of Marilyn Monroe’s favourites, was the first Champagne to be featured in a film (the 1933 Laurel and Hardy 'Sons of the Desert') and, for 9 years, was the official fizz of The Oscars! Hardly surprising when you consider the host of awards this house has won. Enjoy delicious aromas of almonds and hazelnuts, fresh pear and apple flavours, and a gentle creamy mousse of tiny bubbles in the truly refined Cuvée Brut.
"Fruity nose of raspberries, baked apples, pie crust and lemon curd. vibrant acidity and lively"
