Domaine Philippe Colin Bourgogne Blanc 2022

This outstanding 11.5 hectare domaine lies at the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, with most holdings Premier Cru and on the Puligny side. The domaine used to be part of Colin-Deleger, but Philippe and his brother, Bruno, decided in 2004 to go their separate ways. Since then, Philippe's wines have received much praise: "clearly the domaine flies somewhat under the radar when one considers the quality to be found in the bottle" (WK). His style is very pure, with only a little lees stirring and a light touch of oak (often in large-sized barrels), producing wines with a tight core, grippy minerality and succulent, ripe fruit. Using grapes from Chassagne and St-Aubin vineyards, this fine white makes delicious drinking. Open early and serve cool.
