The Story Behind the Bottle
Joseph Drouhin is one of the most famous names of Burgundy. Established in 1880, it has remained in the same family ever since. The house style is all about lightness of touch, so very little new oak is used, allowing the quality and purity of the fruit to be fully expressed in all their wines. This rare Côte de Beaune Blanc comes from vineyards on the slopes above Beaune and includes a parcel from younger vines in the Premier Cru Clos des Mouches. Elegant and mineral-fresh, it exhibits ripe pear and apple fruit with a lovely balance of nutty, almond notes and a touch of honey. A fine match with buttery roast chicken or sauced seafood.
