Stellenbosch is South Africa’s most premium wine region and here’s one of its very best reds. It’s from a winery founded by Bordeaux luminary, the top Cape wine of which sells for £30. Unsold stock means we got a great deal. Dark, velvety and lavish.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Story Behind the Bottle
Our Epiphanie label is usually reserved for very top wines from Bordeaux – Premier or Grand Cru Classé – from wineries that are willing to part with a little extra stock, as long as we don’t reveal the source. Here, however, we have a super, Grand Cru style red from an exceptional estate of South Africa with strong Bordeaux connections. It was founded by two legendary Bordeaux figures, who wanted to try winemaking further afield, so joined with the former owner of a leading Cape cellar. Today their wines have a tremendous reputation. With five years age, this red is a powerful, balanced blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec, aged 10 months in part new oak. Velvety, dark and textured – a real treat with roast beef.
