They are grown on the elevated slopes of the Maule Valley, where clear mountain air and plentiful sunlight make the purest, fruit-laden flavours. Jorge Martinez is the winemaker at the award-winning Viña Morande winery. He fermented this red at a low temperature to capture all the juicy red fruits of this grape. Light in colour and brimming with bright berry flavour with a hint of liquorice, it’s a red with lots of immediate appeal. Enjoy as a refreshing sipper on its own, as a partner to lighter dishes, with cold meats or, in summer, chilled on a picnic.
