Palazzo Brunello di Montalcino 2019
From a superb, 5-Star vintage and a much sought-after family estate, this is Brunello of remarkable quality. Morello cherry, dark spice, with hints of mocha, plus the freshness and tannins for long ageing. A magnificent wine for the cellar.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Story Behind the Bottle
This much-admired family estate was founded in 1983 by Cosimo Loia and his wife Antoinette. They chose the site because it bore her maiden name, Palazzo, and, serendipitously, it has proved to be exceptional. With young vines, the couple started out making table wines, then Rosso di Montalcino, with their first Brunello in 1995. They regularly achieve a Suckling score of 93 upwards and their passion for wine shows through in every release. The property lies at 320m altitude in SE Montalcino. Just 4 hectares grow Sangiovese Grosso (the Brunello grape), the rest is planted to olive trees. Now converted to organic, they're meticulous in the vineyard and lay a gentle hand in the cellar. Decant early, but best of all tuck your bottles away.
