The Story Behind the Bottle

Enjoy a taste of Raíces Albarín, a fruity, floral Spanish white wine made with one of the rarest grapes in the world.

Born out of the chaos of the pandemic, Raíces Ibéricas winery had a vision: to showcase the best of Spain’s indigenous grapes from each variety's finest region. They believe Spain has a huge wealth of terroirs and ancient, high-altitude vineyards, many of them abandoned and forgotten. So they search them out and every vintage deliver exciting, unique wines.

Just 10 years ago Albarín was almost extinct before winegrowers in Asturias – where the grape originated – started replanting it. Only 66 hectares of this variety exist worldwide, making Albarín one of the rarest grapes in the world.

This unique white wine reveals intense floral aromas, with juicy tropical fruit, peach and zesty lemon flavours and soft grassy hints. Enjoy it chilled, alongside a goat’s cheese salad, baked Camembert or herb roasted chicken.
