The Story Behind the Bottle
Château Clinet lies at one of the highest points upon the renowned plateau at the heart of Pomerol - instantly recognisable by its red shutters and pretty roses. There, owner Ronan Laborde (known to his friends as 'Marathon Man' for coming 3rd at the Marathon du Médoc and finishing the NY Marathon in 2 hours 34) makes some of the best wines in the region, with a number of 100-point scores. His superb Ronan by Clinet range give you a very affordable taste of the great wine. The all-Merlot grapes are carefully selected from premium vineyards in Côtes de Castillon, Bourg and Lussac-Saint-Émilion. Expertly crafted by the team, it has received much praise. 2016 was an excellent, well-structured vintage, so you're in for a real treat. Open early.
