The Story Behind the Bottle
We’ve been working with Sam Trimboli and enjoying his great wines since we met him in 1986. The first wine he made for us was Yarrunga Field, a white that caused quite a stir and even featured on the BBC’s Food and Drink programme! He worked at a number of top estates until in 2018 he set up on his own. He’s very much a family man with a good dose of Italian in his blood. His parents were from Calabria and, like many other Italians, settled in Griffith, Australia, in the 1950s. We’ve supported him every step of the way, enjoying all his wines, many of them award-winners. He just seems to know what our customers want in their glass. MCMLXXXVI is Sam’s tribute to that long partnership – a great new release red, velvety smooth and ripe.
