The Story Behind the Bottle
Stonewall comes from one of New Zealand’s finest estates and enjoys a huge fan club in the UK. Owner John Forrest has always been an innovator and one of his latest successes is this 9.5% abv rosé. It’s a great way to keep alcohol consumption in check without compromising on quality or flavour. John explains: “My aim was to achieve fruit ripeness with lower natural sugar levels and hence reduce final alcohol in the wine. After two years of trials, we succeeded in producing wines, sustainably grown, full in flavour and cost efficient, which met my three key criteria.” Deliciously fresh, strawberry and cherry flavours with subtle layers of herbs and a fresh minerality. A perfect accompaniment to a light lunch or enjoy a glass in the sun.
