The Story Behind the Bottle
“Of all winemakers in Argentina, Sebastián Zuccardi is arguably the person who has done the most to champion the Uco Valley’s different terroirs, seeking to express them as faithfully as possible in the bottle” writes Tim Atkin MW. That’s precisely what Sebastián set out to achieve with his Polígonos or ‘village’ range – wines that represent the different characters of each village. His Semillon comes from old vines at around 1,200 metres above sea level in Tupungato, an area of Uco Valley celebrated for its pristine, cool altitude whites. A gorgeous nose of lime zest, white peach and wet stone, with just a gentle touch of creaminess on the finish. A serious white, with great energy and finesse.
