From the finest area in the Graves, Pessac-Léognan, this is a superb, rich and complex wine. The area has a reputation for its long-lived whites and this 2021 certainly bears this out. "A real gem this year" said Wine Advocate.

The Wine
The only Bordeaux estate ever to be classified purely for its white wines, Château Couhins specialises in the superb fine wines of Graves' Pessac-Léognan. They are a style that manages to age for years, gaining deep complexity and richness - fine food wines. In 2009 Château Couhins underwent a complete renovation, making it one of the most sophisticated in all Bordeaux. Leaving behind the grand château tradition, the buildings are some of the most futuristic in Bordeaux. It's very much eco-friendly and energy efficient, utilising some of the most sophisticated technology. Comprising Sauvignon with a little Sauvignon Gris, aged 8 months in 20% new oak, it has citrus fruits with floral and smoky spice nuances. “A real gem this year” (WA).
