All the richness, quality and style you’d expect in a wine that draws on the expertise of two great winemaking dynasties – Bordeaux’s Château Lafite and Argentina’s Nicolás Catena. Barrel aged, it combines velvety Malbec with ripe, cassis Cabernet.

Amancaya is an exceptionally rich and impressive wine. It brings together the classic red grapes of Argentina and Bordeaux and symbolises the union between its co-creators. ‘Decanter Man of the Year’ Nicolás Catena, whose wines are “beacons for quality in Argentina” (Steven Spurrier), and the Rothschilds, “synonymous with wealth, prestige, history, respect and remarkable wines” (Robert Parker), have spared no expense in their efforts to impress. Hand-harvested, high-grown, old-vine grapes provide the wine’s outstanding fruit quality. A year’s barrel ageing ensures seamless integration of flavours, spicy complexity and fabulously smooth tannins. Decant an hour in advance and serve with a 24 ounce Argentine steak, roast beef, lamb or venison.
