Yann Chave is hot property. His wines are listed by many top Michelin-starred French chefs, Bocuse, Ducasse and Troisgros among them. Rhone’s 2021 vintage was not without its challenges, but with tireless work there are many successes. As critic Jeb Dunnuck says, ‘the wines show good ripeness and more elegant, medium-bodied profiles with solid character’. Yann Chave adheres to organic principles through all his vineyards, taking the Syrah grapes for this exceptional red from three plots in Crozes Hermitage - La Roche de Glun, Mercurol and Pont de l'Isère. Together these express the vintage, the terroir and the maker. Wild yeast fermentation with ageing in vat, this is a very pure red with black fruits and delicate sweet violet notes.
