The Red Wine
Averys Montepulciano d’Abruzzo has long been one of our most popular reds, so we’re thrilled to share with you the 2021 vintage. It was a hot, dry year, but still brings lots of crunchy fresh fruit to the party. As always, it's made for us by Dario Bove (whose own wine, Indio, sells for twice this price) in the same easy-drinking style. Part aged in oak, it combines the bright cherry fruit of Montepulciano with a supple character and a touch of spice. This is the 11th vintage and it continues to delight its many followers, while winning over new ones, year after year. With lots of juicy flavour and a soft, mouthfilling texture, it’s extremely versatile with food. Enjoy with charcuterie, a spicy sausage supper or tomato-based pasta dishes.
