We reserve our Averys labels for wines which really excite us, and this new Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra certainly ticked that box. It’s made for us by RedHeads, a boutique winery set up in 2002. Surrounded by big Aussie wineries, the cellar works with top small grower-mates, rescuing small parcels of exceptional quality grapes to make their own showstopping wines. This now includes our bold new red from the renowned terra rossa soils of Coonawarra. The red clay soils provide the perfect conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon to thrive, and the region produces some world-class wines. A delicious addition to our range. Savour flavours of cassis, cherry and menthol, with oak spice from ageing in French oak barrels. An ideal roast beef red.
