No surprise, when you hear this wine uses grapes from two special vineyards – Rayas and Les Blaquières – that yield a tiny 24 hectolitres per hectare. Wine Advocate is full of praise for this wine – Jean-Marc Diffonty’s premier cuvée. It is only made in the best vintages, using Roussanne grapes from half-century-old vines, part-fermented then aged in oak, 20% new, to lend spice to its ripe stone fruit and citrus.
