For many years, Johnny Quarisa made terrific, award-winning wines for some of the biggest names in Australian wine. He dreamed of going out on his own and finally his wife Josephine told him to quit dreaming and sort it. He now makes great wines at his family winery in New South Wales and, despite its fledgling status, they boast four stars from Aussie wine guru James Halliday. He is helped by his wife Josephine and occasionally his three children, their three 'Treasures'! This white uses grapes purely from the Adelaide Hills – a renowned region for crisp, cool-climate whites. A year's ageing on lees, with a small amount of oak, lends creamy roundness to the wine's tangy citrus bite. Very refreshing on its own and great with seafood.
