Jérémie Huchet Chemin des Priéres Organic Muscadet 2022

We’ve worked with Jérémie Huchet and, before him, his father, Yves, at Domaine de la Chauvinière for many years. Each vintage, we taste Muscadets from many other producers, but they rarely measure up to those from this domaine. Jérémie took over from his father in 2005, immediately introducing sustainable measures, such as Terra Vitis and now organic methods too. The grapes (all Melon de Bourgogne) for this excellent white come from a unique plot of fine sand and clay over granite, which ensures both delightful fruit and an intense core of freshness, while ageing ‘sur lie’ (on its lees) adds creamy weight and texture. This incisive, lemony style makes an excellent food match all year round. On its own, with seafood and lighter dishes.
